Linn ‘Silver’ interconnect cable shares the same low capacitance, low loss dielectric of the ‘Black’ cable but has much more extensive shielding.
In any environment with electrical noise present, particularly in digitally based systems, this is a real benefit.
The stiffer construction formed by the heavy double-braided shielding makes the cable much more robust and essentially free of microphony.
